DELIVERY OF SCHOOL SHOES TO WESTERN PROVINCE

In October some of our team members visited Balimo Elementary School to deliver much-needed school shoes contributed through our Pass it on Project. The students were very thankful for the shoes as last year they lost a classmate due to a fatal snake bite. The shoes received will ensure their feet are protected from snakes, hot surfaces, and rocks on their trek to school each day. Thank you to our sponsor Gravitas Leadership Group for their continued support of this wonderful initiative.

Delivery of stationery and sporting equipment to Central Province

With the donations from schools around Brisbane and many fabulous community members, Project Yumi’s Pass it on Project was able to partner with Miss Josie Nicholas (Miss Relaxo PNG 2021) to deliver 165 stationery packs along with sporting goods and other educational resources to Biotou Primary School, Central Province.

Miss Josie is currently participating in the Miss PNG Pacific Islands Pageant and shares a vision with Project Yumi for equality in education. Despite the rain, the staff and students of Biotou gave a heart warming welcome to Miss Josie and her team. The donations of stationery and other educational resources from Project Yumi were humbly received.

We thank our sponsors Gravitas Leadership Group for their continued support of the Pass it on Project and we look forward to partnering with more wonderful Papua New Guineans, who share our vision for equitable access to adequate education and healthcare.
